Council Meetings are held the 1st Wednesday and 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm. The meetings are open to the public and held at Richmond City Hall.
EDA Meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month at 6:00PM. The meetings are open to the public and held at Richmond City Hall.
The Planning Commission regularly scheduled meeting is held on the 4th Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm at the Richmond City Hall.

River Lakes is a nonprofit organization that supports nonprofits with grants and collaborates with volunteers and non-profits to provide a channel that connects all aspects of our community from organizations, businesses and individuals through community building opportunities.

Whether you're looking to stay active or simply enjoy the outdoors, Centennial Park offers something for everyone. The park features popular pickleball courts, playground areas, open green space, walking paths, and plenty of room for families and friends to gather, play, and relax.
Entry to the park is off Main Street East.

Nestled along the beautiful Sauk River Chain of Lakes, Lions Park is one of the most popular destinations for outdoor fun and community gatherings. The park features a large free public swimming area perfect for cooling off on warm summer days, along with expansive open green space ideal for games, picnics, and relaxing. Families love the large playground that gives kids plenty of room to climb, explore, and play. Lions Park also offers rentable shelters, making it a great location for sporting events, family reunions, birthday parties, and other large gatherings throughout the year.

River Lakes Civic Arena is the home of River Lakes Youth Hockey, River Lakes High School Hockey, and the River Lakes Figure Skating Club. We also service St. Johns University and the Rocori School District. We offer many skating and hockey programs. In the fall there are free learn to skate classes and free beginner youth hockey camps. River Lakes Civic Arena is available for a variety of events.

Richmond is proud to be part of the scenic Glacial Lakes State Trail — a beautiful route that connects communities, nature, and outdoor adventure across central Minnesota. Built along the former Burlington Northern Railroad grade, the trail offers a smooth, generally level ride that is welcoming for walkers, runners, cyclists, snowmobilers (posted areas only) and wheelchair users alike.
Stretching through lakes country and charming small towns, the paved trail travels 22 miles between Willmar, Spicer, New London, Hawick, and the Kandiyohi/Stearns County line — with Richmond serving as a perfect place to stop, explore, dine, and connect with the local community.

At the Glacial Pavilion you will find the Blue Bike Project. The use of these bikes are free to the public. To use the Blue Bikes stop into Jack's of Richmond to get your key to unlock the bike of your choice.
